– Multi-talented artist Fireboy DML has bagged a new billboard award for the month of March 2022.
– Nigerian ace singer, songwriter and performer, Adefolahan Adedamola, popularly known as Fireboy DML, has secured a new Billboard honourary award for his achievements for the month of March.
– After a successful career, Fireboy DML was named Billboard R&B / Hip Hop Rookie Of The Month for the month of March 2022.

– In an interview with the publishing media outfit Billboard via zoom, Fireboy stated:
– “It’s surreal, honestly, watching myself grow into making a song with my inspiration. It was the moment I realized, ‘Yo, you’re actually doing something great, I consider him like the greatest Afrobeats artist, to me. He brought something that was missing in Afrobeats for a while. He brought soul. And for that, I will always give him that respect.”
– This news comes a few days after the singer’s tune, Peru was certified gold in the UK.
– Fireboy delivered the hit sensation ‘Peru,’ a song that featured Ed Sheeran on the remix and also led to his first debut on the Billboard Hot 100 charts with its peak at number 57. The song hit a new peak of No. 5 on the Hot R&B Songs chart and No. 10 on Rhythmic Airplay this week, and it has accumulated 58.9 million U.S. streams to date, according to Luminate.
