Experts engaged in real-estate business have described the sector as ‘worth while’ and booming.
A cross of real estate agents who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Thursday, encouraged the youth to join the business as many had made billions from it.
Mr Kingsley Obute said “this is a chance for our youth to get positively involved, be self-employed and contribute meaningfully to national growth.
“This business will also fully address the disturbing cases of internet fraud since there are several platforms real-estate offers.
“One can go in as an investor and get involved in buying assets and several or if there is no enough capital, one can serve as an agent and middleman between property owners and sellers.”
Obute who had been in the real-estate business for five years, said that it cannot be compared with the fraudent internet business (yahoo) which is built on lies and theft.

“Real estate is far better than yahoo because, yahoo is built on the foundation of deceit and fraud where one could be rich within a short time, and the next day one is wretched or rotting in prison.

“In real estate which is legal, we have a system whereby you can acquire asset. For instance, acquiring rental property or acquiring a land.

“Then we have a second platform where you can invest your capital based on agreement and after the agreed period, your capital will yield interest.

“Similarly under affiliate marketing, we bring ordinary people to get involved and earn commission for every product and service for which they bring customers or clients.

“Real-estate offers such people incentives such as traveling incentive, school fees incentive, vacation incentive and other incentives where we give people things like, television, food and much more.”

Mr Jeremiah Ugote said that real-estate business in Nigeria has a lot of potential.
“Now, because Nigeria is a developing country, the industry thrives well here, since there are still so many fallow grounds to be developed.
“Opportunities around real-estate have now become uncountable as the industry is highly profitable.

“However, instead of our youths embarking on internet fraud or some other social vices and moral decadence, it is better they join the bandwagon of those benefiting from the opportunities that abound in real estate,” he said.
