A social media prophet, Oba Solomon, has said that he will free some detainees at the Zone 2 police station, Lagos, if he is detained by the authorities.

He has been invited by the police after he said that All Progressives Congress leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, will die in office if he becomes Nigerian president.

Vowing that he would go as invited, he threatened those who would arrest him, just as he said it was good news for the inmates or detainees, adding that he had done it before.

The viral prophet with the real name, Adelana Solomon, said, “Nothing dey happen, I am fully at home, nothing will happen,” he said in Pidgin English.

He had earlier told Tinubu in a video: “If I am a man of God, Tinubu will not become President. If you become President, you will die before four years,” Solomon had said in an Instagram video.

The Nigeria Police Force, it was gathered, subsequently invited the Lekki-based pastor for questioning.

In a viral letter dated January 27, 2022 and confirmed to The PUNCH by the police, Solomon is expected to be at the Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan Lagos, on Wednesday for interrogation.

“The office is investigating a matter reported to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan Lagos.

“In order to facilitate investigation, you are requested to report to the office in-charge of Zonal Complaint Response Unit, CSP Olukode Taofiki on 2nd February, 2022 by 1000hrs.”

The pastor at the Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Zion, Oke Igbala, in the Lekki area of Lagos State, is often controversial in his ‘sermons’.

He sharply criticises pastors, imams and traditional priests, saying they do not follow their holy books.

This has drawn bile from some of the clerics, with some attacking him online, while there have also been debates to that effect.
