The Yoruba movie industry has lost another vital talent as Tafa Oloyede is dead.
The actor who came to limelight as a regular face during Oyin Adejobi’s Kootu Asipa series passed on on Tuesday, February 1.
This came not long after the industry lost Babatunde Omidina, aka Baba Suwe, and Rachel Oniga.
Oloyede’s death is announced thus via a reposting by a producer, Tunde Ola Yusuf:
Mr John Adewuni (Baba Tafa Oloyede), an Ede, Osun State born actor, who ventured into acting in 1974 is dead.
Late Tafa Oloyede had his tutelage under late Oyin Adejobi. He featured in many movies that include ‘Jaiyesimi’, ‘Ayanmo’, ‘Ekuro Oloja’, ‘Orogun’, ‘Akanji Oniposi’ that made him popular and others.
He died today Tuesday, February 1st 2022 in his residence at Arowomole, Kajola area Osogbo.
He is survived by wife and children.
