The Actors Guild of Nigeria is tackling a cleric, Apostle Kassy Chukwu, after cursing the Thespians whom he accused of visiting and supporting the All Progressives Congress leader, Bola Tinubu, on his presidential ambition.
The cleric had, in a video, lambasted and cursed the AGN, saying they had no reason to take the step they were allegedly taking.
Some actors had, about two months ago, visited Tinubu in Lagos.
The visit later became controversial as some had to explain why they did.
While actress Foluke Daramola said the meeting was not political, popular comedian Mr Ibu, who was in attendance, said he was not there to support Tinubu, adding that the Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar, was his beneficiary.
But Chukwu insisted the AGN erred, while threatening to leave Nigeria should Tinubu win.
It is, however, an angry AGN that replied him on Wednesday, saying the body never endorsed anyone.
