UDEME: Constituency Project

I
You will be my only constituency project, Udeme
If I wriggle my way into the Senate House.
When others talk about poverty projects
I will dualise the road that leads into your heart;
Before the end of the quarter first,
A million Euros on your rosy hairs.
You will be my only constituency project
If I can wriggle my way into the Senate House.

II
Why further boring the mother earth
With more bore and boreholes,
When the city has given birth to a well of life?
Instead of battling pot holes on the Mainland Bridge
I will order a cargo of Victorian creams
To battle possible pimples on your frangipanic face.
You will be my only constituency project, Udeme
If I can dig my way into the Senate House.

III
Why bothering the sky with impudent bulbs
When your eyes alone can light a thousand streets?
Instead of making case for Orita Merin
Or building more stalls in Agbeni-Dugbe,
Swiss watches, Italian shoes,
I will import from near and order from far
Until I turn your wardrobe into a market place.
You will be my only constituency project, Udeme
If I can rig my way into the Senate House.
