– Marcus Rashford scored for the first time since November as Manchester United claimed a 3-1 victory against Brentford in the Premier League on Wednesday.

– Teenager Anthony Elanga put United ahead with a header in the second half before Mason Greenwood doubled the side’s lead with a tap in following a layoff from teammate Bruno Fernandes.

– Rashford capped the performance with a long-awaited goal on 77 minutes. He was sent through on goal from Fernandes following a break away, and the forward delivered a powerful strike across opposing goalkeeper Jonas Lossl to ensure United claimed all three points.

– Brentford struck back with a consolation goal on 85 minutes through Ivan Toney, who slotted home after the ball pinballed around the United box.
