Marvin Record’s artiste, Rema, has revealed the role his mother played in his pursuit of a university admission which has now materialised.
He has been admitted to study Creative Arts at the University of Lagos, as he revealed on Friday.
He, however, stated that it was his mum who insisted that he has university education.
He noted, “What if I told y’all I got an admission into Unilag? Lol, Mum said I still need to get a degree. oh well, see you guys in class!”
He, however, noted he would drop an album before he enters UNILAG.
“I will try to drop the album before I enter school. So they’ll not beat me in UNILAG. Plus, I’m in the Creative Art Department,” Rema tweeted.
His admission will remind some about how the then fast-rising artiste, Korede Bello, also gained admission to the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Lagos.
On the other hand, history also records that superstar Wizkid abandoned university education to pursue his career.
