The Ogun State Government has commenced distribution of year 2018 promotion letters to successful teaching and non-teaching staff in its secondary schools.
The Chairman, Teaching Service Commission, Olalekan Ifede, made presentation of the letters on Wednesday during a monitoring exercise at Christ Apostolic Secondary School, Iperu Remo.
Ifede eulogised Gov. Dapo Abiodun for approving the release of the promotion letters to the successful officers.
He said that the year 2019 promotion letters would be released in March, while that of 2020 would be out in May.
The chairman explained that teachers’ welfare was paramount to the government, saying it would boost their morale for better performance.
He stated that the bold step of reviving education in the state had continuously improved teaching and learning in schools.
Ifede advised the staff to reciprocate government’s gesture by working hard.
In her response, the principal of the school, Mrs Adeola Osirim, commended the government for fulfilling its promise on the release of the promotion letters.
