As Asiwaju Bola Tinubu finally declares his intention to run for presidency in 3023, he has declined to comment on the perceived aspiration of the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.
Osinbajo used to be a commissioner under Tinubu, when the latter was a governor of Lagos State.
Tinubu is also believed to have nominated Osinbajo for his present role, although there have been some other claims in this regard.
More importantly, Osinbajo too is believed to have an eye on the golden office, although he has not made any declaration to the effect.
Some groups and individuals have put his name forward, drawing a potential battle line between the godafather and godson.
It is thus not too surprising that one of the questions the media confronted Tinubu with as soon as he declared his intention on Monday has to do with Osinbajo’s aspiration.
He, however, declined to talk about it, saying it was not his style to discuss individuals.
