Pique says Barcelona in decline, but he’s optimistic about future

A statement by Barcelona’s seasoned back-man, Gerald Pique, that he would rather die than play for Real Madrid has sparked biting criticism.

Barca and Madrid are both in Spain but are sworn rivals.

Speaking on El Homiguero TV programme, Pique, however, seemed to carry the rivalry too far when he said he would rather die than move to Madrid.

“It’s absolutely impossible. There’s nothing. I would rather die than go to Madrid,” he said.

Reacting to the declaration, may soccer watchers said he goofed big time.

Here are some of the comments from Linda Ikeji (sic):

Real Madrid and Bace aren’t on same level…real is far way ahead, besides Mr You’ve be passed your prime….. it’s only Baca that can play you week in week out…

Barca only has an upper hand in Copa del Rey,but Liga and Champions,Madrid are kings overall in the whole of Europe.

Real Madrid is by far a bigger club, richer in trophies than Barcelona. Go check the facts.

That’s shamefully unsportmanly! Not suprised. Statements like this easily come from deluded minds. Only wish you know how much of a waste and liability you have become to Barcelona.

What’s bad if he joins as a sport director or a coach rather, remember you can’t predict the future pique.
