A Kaduna-based woman, Mu’inat Jeola, has told has told a Shari’a Court sitting at Magajin Gari that she is ready to refund the N5,000 her husband paid on her in 2016.
She, on Wednesday asked the court to end her marriage to Zakiru Jeola on grounds of neglecting her and their year-old baby.
The complainant, who resides at Ogbomosho Road, Kaduna, said she was ready to refund the N5,000 bride price her family received from her estranged husband during their wedding in 2016.
In his defence, Jeola said he still loved his wife and prayed the court to give him time to reconcile with her.
He also prayed the court to assist him in persuading her to allow him have access to their son.
The Judge, Malam Murtala Nasir, adjourned the matter till Dec. 9 for possible reconcliation.
