Chei! See how a Liverpool critic finished Man U

He is actually not a Liverpool critic – whatever that was supposed to mean. Rather, he, Bamidele Johnson, is a fan-artistis-cal Liverpool fan, strong in their faith and armed with millions of Ballon d’Or-rated words, which he chooses and shoots with uncanny effortlessness.

Here is his December 28, post-Boxing Day early morning judgement of MAN U, despite the fact that the Bible says thou shall not judge:

When United signed Sancho, they thought they’d got something close to Lionel Messi. What they got is something close to Lionel Richie and they can’t even Dance on the Ceiling.

In their Portuguese penalty artist, they thought they’d signed an amalgam of Platini, Kaka and Boban. Once the penalties dried up, the guy’s got nothing to do aside from genuinely looking rat-faced, acting like he’s United’s in-game coach and whingeing non-stop as though he wants United to play whingebacks.

They got Rangnick, who was advertised as a great football mind. He’s certainly not a successful elite-level coach, a fact concealed by the wankfest his appointment induced. United fans thought they’d got a Guttman-Sacchi-Cruyff-Guardiola hybrid. Last night, Newcastle’s ASM made Maguire look like he was created from ribs ripped off Titus Bramble, Mustafi and Senderos. Big shame Eddie Howe’s guys couldn’t take the three points.

Yet, for all the Arsenal improvement narrative, United will finish ahead of them. I wish one will enjoy the pleasures of the Europa League, with the other basking in the euphoria of the Conference League. Arsenal for the latter
