Who Run The Tweet?
My take on this Osinbajo and Beyoncé copyright brouhaha.

The tuth of the matter is that the VP, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, most likely did not compose or post that particular tweet.
Just like many of the Nigerian politicians, there is an S.A or S.S.A on media who is assigned the duty of handling the social media engagements of their principals.
Prof (Pst) Yemi Osinbajo probably doesn’t even know the Beyoncé’s song “Run The World”, not to talk of his using it in a tweet in celebration of the 2021 International Women’s Day.
However, as plausible as this defence may be, the VP or his media people would be scoring an own goal if they dare use this as a defence.
Caught between the devil and the deep blue sea situation, it is.
So the VP has two options. Two bitter pills to choose from. Accept responsibility for the infringement of copyright. Or, make it known that his tweets and engagements on social media are not in the real sense of it his own thoughts.
Well, there’s a third option. Say nothing on the matter. Nigerians on social media will soon move on to another trending topic. 😎
