Two men, Segun Adeyanju and Suleiman Adau, accused of having stolen valuables worth N365,000, have appeared before an Ojo Magistrates’ court in Lagos.
The defendants appeared before the Magistrate, Mr Ademola Adesanya on Tuesday, on a three-count charge of conspiracy, stealing and receiving stolen items.
Both defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, ASP Simeon Uche, told the court that they committed the offence on Dec. 7, at the Iyana-Iba bus stop, in Ojo Lagos.
He alleged that the first defendant stole a think pad laptop valued N250, 000, a voice recorder valued N45, 000, a power bank valued N20, 000, an Android phone valued N50, 000, an Access Bank ATM card and a BBC press identity card.
According to him, all the items are said to be owned by one Mr Sheu Ellemon.
Meanwhile, the second defendant is accused of receiving the stolen items.
The offences contravene the provisions of sections 287, 328, and 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015.

The court granted the defendants bail in the sum of N150, 000 each with two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the case until Jan. 24, 2022, for mention.
