Amid reports that entertainment entrepreneur, Obi Cubana, has closed down his entertainment centre in Abuja following the death of someone, he has sought to inspire his followers on the need to cultivate the habit of showing appreciation.
In a Facebook post on Monday, he averred:

Today let’s talk about APPRECIATION !!
Appreciation is the recognition & enjoyment of the good qualities of someone or something.
Sometimes we take things for granted because we feel entitled.
We forget to show appreciation to those ones that make our lives easier.
We’ve lived so many years with our spouses and we feel they owe us their services.
When was the last time you said thank you to your wife for taking care of the kids when you aren’t home knowing so well that parenting is not just for mothers?
When was the last time you said thank you to your husband who’s always on the streets, taking risks and all just to provide for you and the kids?
That girl that takes care of your kids, when was the last time you bought her a gift just to show your appreciation.
Even in the office, have you gone out of your way to show appreciation or we just sit down, complaining of what they didn’t do right?
Appreciation brings out the best in everyone.
Today, appreciate the ones who carry your concerns when your soul is heavy.
The ones who put their loads down for a brief moment to check in on you & make you feel lighter.
The ones who resist from weighing you down with their opinion but instead offer you a space free of judgment.
If you don’t show appreciation to those who deserve it, they’ll learn to stop doing the things you appreciate .
Never take them for granted.
Everyone has their limit of feeling unappreciated.
Remember, what you appreciate, appreciates.
