OPEN LETTER TO THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE ON THE TIMOTHY ADEGOKE CASE.
Dear Sir,
We act as Solicitors to Parties Interested in Justice in the above mentioned case.
Our attention has been drawn to the investigation activities by officers of the Osun State Command and want to draw your attention to the following:
1. The said case is a Homicide Case and not a Missing person or Kidnapp case.
2. The way the matter is being handled by your Osun State Command is worrisome, more so as the case has attracted international attention.
3. That the twist of initial denial by the Hotel owner and his staff and the follow up developments, including the Son of the Hotel owner coming into the picture, are interesting and surprising.
4. That the issue of a video, made by the Hotel owner, while in custody, is intriguing.
5. That these and many other issues that have shown up are begging for JUSTICE in this matter.
6. That it is in this regard that we DEMAND that a specialised HOMICIDE TEAM be set up to investigate this matter.
7. That we want you to use this case to revamp the image of the Nigeria Police Force in matters like this that gets compromised and muddled up.
