Gunmen have extended their operation to Gidan-Kwano, the host community of the Federal University of Technology, FUT, Minna Niger State. The rampaging evil men invaded the area on Thursday morning killing one person and abducting two others.
Daily Trust reports that the gunmen operated directly opposite the main gate of the university. Students, who live off campus, are many in the affected community.
Sources said the gunmen struck in the wee hours of Thursday, forcing residents to run helter skelter for safety.
Niger State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the incident but said the situation is under control. He was however silent on the death of a resident.
