Legendary comedian, Babatunde Omidina, aka Baba Suwe, is dead.
Baba Suwe, who was 63, was said to have passed away on Monday morning.
He had been sick since about four years ago, although his health issues appeared to have been triggered by his arrest by the NDLEA over alleged drug peddling.
He was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, and detained as he was said to have swalleowd some substances.
All pressure for him to vomit such did however not yield anything that could implicate him.
He later sued the agency and first won N25m damages that however later contested.
The death of his lawyer, Bamidele Aturu, created a hole in the battle.
He was bedridden for some time, treated home and abroad with the intervention of the Baba Latin-led TAMPAN, and popular politician, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Another crisis his career suffered was occasioned by the death of his wife and co-actor, Moladun.
Apart from initial claims that he was responsible for her death, which he vehemently denied, the woman’s absence in his team created a gap that could actually not be filled.
