To say Tiwa Savage is often spotted in controversial relationships is an understatement. It may be unfair to say she is the architect of this, because she is sometimes a victim – as the leaking of her alleged sex tape has proved.
When time beckoned on her to tie the knot, she gleefully did with another entertainer, Teebliz.
Unfortunately, too soon, the ended controversially, although it produced a son. It never took too long before the spouses discovered it would no more work.
In-between, she was rumoured to be having an affair with Wizkid. Although this remains a speculation, Tiwa gave out some stage stunt with Wizkid, which further kept tongues wagging.
The beauty of things with her, however, is that she always survives the issues. That is why her fans believe that the sex tape saga too is only a matter of time. The songbird will come out stronger.

Something interesting has also happened amid the hullabaloo sparked by the tape.
A fellow artiste and wife of musician Tuface Idibia, Annie, ran into a signboard in Lagos, indicating a road named after Tiwa.
Annie, hours ago, expressed delight that Tiwa is not a prophetess not recognised at home.
Born in Isale Eko (Lagos Island) 41 years ago, Tiwa relocated to London at the age of 11 for her secondary education. Five years later, she began her music career doing backup vocals for artistes such as George Michael and Mary J. Blige.
After participating in the UK edition of The X Factor and graduating from Berklee College of Music, Tiwa signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2009.
Inspired by the growth of the Nigerian music industry, she moved back to Nigeria and hooked up with Mavin Records in 2012. She made an appearance on the label’s 2012 compilation album, Solar Plexus.
The music bird has her Alma mater as the University of Kent, Berklee College of Music.
Tiwa has associated with quite a lot of national and international stars, the likes of Don Jazzy, Spellz, Dr SID, Korede Bello, Reekado Banks, Di’Ja, D’Prince, Davido, Wizkid, Iceberg, Slim, Olamide, Zlatan, Rihanna and many more.
On 2 May 2019, Universal Music Group announced the signing of the diva to a seven-year publishing and distribution deal. In July 2019, Savage was featured on “Keys to the Kingdom”, a track she co-wrote for Beyoncé’s soundtrack album, The Lion King: The Gift. She appeared on the track alongside Mr Eazi.
On 19 July 2021, Tiwa lost her father after battling an undisclosed illness for a couple of years.
But this October has been a peculiar one for her, for someone has exposed to the world a most delicious soup she cooked indoors.
How soon she completely overcomes this, time the relentless teller will tell.
