Unless there are counter facts to prove that the tape is not real, Monday October 18/Tuesday October 19, 2021 will for some time remain a negatively historical day for popular artiste, Tiwa Savage. Because she gallantly refused to pay a blackmailer, what looks like a s*x tape of hers was released. She is a mother, she is old enough to engage in an intercourse, she is a free human who has the right to be in a relationship to the extent of being in bed with a male partner. Yet, someone pounces on a s*x tape allegedly hers, and released it to the public. What a wicked act! What a case of man’s inhumanity to man! What a despicable act of injustice!
As controversies continue to greet the development, however, Phenomenal.com.ng observes that some 10 nagging questions still beg to be asked about the experience.
– Is the leaked tape real?
Yes, the question is still relevant although many believe that the lady they see in the video is their darling singer. In these days of shrewd technology, however, and considering the fact that resemblance is always a possibility, and since law always wants to ask questions even when they seem stupid, there still should be the benefit of the doubt. Well, the only person who can resolve the question is Tiwa Savage herself. It could be a matter of ‘I’m the one’ or ‘I’m not the one’ in that particular video.
– Who recorded the video?
This is a poser that may not have been answered. Was it recorded by the musician’s lover? Was it recorded by her herself? Was it a joint recording, or was it recorded by another party unknown to the lovers? Tiwa remains the person who can clarify this; otherwise, the man too can come out and help.
– What was the purpose of the recording?
If the recording was done by either of the lovers or both of them, what was their intention? A lot of folks are eager to know, especially as they believe it was a game too dangerous to have been played in the first place. This is based on the fear that such a video can always leak. If it was recorded by an alien party, what is happening now indicates that the chap might have located a shady business in the project – since day one.
– Did Tiwa Savage handle the threat well?
Some have given her kudos on this. She came out to speak about the threat. Besides, she refused to pay the alleged blackmailer. The question could however still arise over if the damage done now is not worse than paying. Yet, if you pay a blackmailer today, are you ready to pay tomorrow?
– Should still have done like Salawa Abeni by releasing the tape herself?
An older musician, Waka Queen Salawa Abeni, was also faced with a similar threat months back. She called the blackmailer’s bluff and released the video herself. The guy was later arrested by the police. Should Tiwa Savage have done the same thing? Perhaps it was difficult to do so because the alleged picture recorded in her case is far more vivid, mor penetrating, if not devastating. In Salawa’s case the picture sighted is one showing her open chest, but the one circulated allegedly about Tiwa shows a real man-woman affair.

– Can security forces still locate and arrest the source of the tape?
An expert who spoke with Phenomenal.com.ng on condition of anonimity said it was difficult but possible. According to the source, it may seem impossible to a layman but security guys know what links to follow.
– Is the tape erasable?
An IT fellow we spoke with does not believe it is. The chap noted that, being a video, it had gone to the nook and cranny of many platforms, including private ones that even the big social media platforms might not be able to trace.
– Who is the man with the lady in the video?
This question keeps recurring. It’s good that Tiwa Savage is protecting her lover in the tape she is being blackmailed with. Yet, based on the new development, the question of whom he is stares her and everyone in the face? For instance, the police may want to know, is it not possible that the guy himself is culpable?
– Is Kemi Olunloyo’s theory relevant?
Controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, in an interview with Daddy Freeze some days ago, said Tiwa Savage might be protecting the lover because, in Kemi’s opinion, he could be a particular popular’s artiste’s aide, whom she noted was deceased. According to her, the tape might have accidentally initially got out.
