There are indications that the Department of State Security will prosecute veteran actor, Chiwetalu Agu, arrested for wearing a dress linked to the secessionist Biafra.
He is now with the DSS, after spending a day with the Nigerian military.
The army had picked in up in Onitsha where, according to them, he was selling the secessionist cause to the people.
He has however denied this, saying he was only sharing bread to them.
He also noted that the dress on him was a bout the rising sun, not Biafra.
But while the army was seen to have released him, a twist came when he eventually landed in the DSS Custody.
Speaking on his fate, the DSS Spokesperson, Petr Afunaya, said, Army brought him to us. Justice will take its course.”
Meanwhile, many people have countinued to criticise the security agents over Agu.
Among them is the former media aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, who noted in a post:
“Miyetti Allah hold press conferences to threaten revenge on Nigerians and make provocative statements to the effect that Southern Nigeria belongs to them. Yet soldiers and DSS dont arrest them.
“Chiwetalu Agu wore a Biafran flag and was arrested. Where is the justice? In this same country, Sheikh Gumi has been campaigning for bandits and terrorists and singing their praises, and even telling them on camera that Christian soldiers are the ones killing them and thus they should not kill Muslims.
“He is free as a bird, while Chiwetalu Agu was arrested? Nigeria can’t have peace without justice!”
