Police are no more taking it lightly with some people protesting against President Muhammadu Buhari’s continued stay in office.
The protesters, since the early hours of Friday October 1, had gathered by the Dantata Bridge, with placcards bearing various allegations against the Buhari administration.
Not long after, however, policemen, who had initially been watching and monitoring them, decicided to disperse them.
There was teargassing and hot chase, until the area became empty of the agitators.
Meanwhile, contrary to the agitators’ accusation, Buhari has said that it is the best government the country has had in terms of of provision for the polity.
He said in its Independence Day speech that no other government had done what his had, especially in terms of social intervention.
