The Peoples Democratic Party has no cause for anxiety again towards its cupcoming national convention.

The reason is that its suspended Chairman, Uche Secondus, has lost at the Appeal Court, Port Harcourt, in the case he instituted to stop the PDP’s convention.

He had been at loggerheads with some top shots in the party, especially Rivers State Governor, Nyeson Wike.

This led to his suspension, after which it dragged the party to court.

But the Appeal Court sitting in Port Harcourt on Friday dismissed the appeal seeking an interim injunction to restrain the PDP from conducting its national convention billed for Saturday and Sunday, October 30 and 31, 2021, in Abuja.

The three-man panel dismissed the appeal which was filed on October 14, 2021, for lacking in merit.

The judgement was read by Justice Gabriel Kolawale which was unanimously endorsed by the other two members of the panel.
