Kola Balogun appoints Dapo Falade as Special Adviser on Media

Mr Dapo Falade, a former Deputy Editor of Nigerian Tribune newspapers has been appointed as Special Adviser to Sen. Kola Balogun (PDP-Oyo South) on Media.

The appointment was contained in a statement signed by
Chief Omilabu Gandhi of the senator’s legislative office and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday.

Falade was until May 31, 2020, a deputy editor with the Nigerian Tribune newspapers.

He was a former Correspondent of Nigerian Tribune newspapers in Ekiti from October, 2007 to November, 2009 and its Oyo correspondent from from 2009 to May 2011.

Falade was the newspaper’s correspondent from February, 2014 to August, 2016.

The veteran journalist also covered activities at the National Assembly from October, 2012 and February, 2014.

Falade holds a bachelor and masters degree in History from University of Ibadan and a postgraduate diploma (PGD) in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism (IIJ), Abuja.

NAN reports that Falade’s appointment followed the resignation of Balogun’s former media aide, Mr Rotimi Johnson.
