The Kogi State Executive Council at it’s meeting on Monday has approved the appointment of a new Attach Igala. He is Prince Mathew Opaluwa.
Opaluwa is succeeding HRM Michael Ameh Oboni II, who died August last year in an Abuja hospital following an illness.
Kogi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ozigi Mohammed Deedat made this announcement after the State Executive Council meeting held in Government House, Lokoja.
The appointment of Attah Igala has become a subject of political and surreptitious interest, thereby dragging on for more than one year after the demise of the last occupant of the throne.
Governor Yahaya Bello at a time insisted that due diligence would be followed in the appointment.
