There is respite across the globe as the services of popular and influencial socio media, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, are back.

They had suffered outages, paralysing activities of many people among their 3 billion users across the globe.

In Nigeria, many tried Twitter and Telegram, despite the fact that the first is still banned by the Federal Government.

For Telegramm, many are still not yet familiar with it or how it operates.

The frustration was thus pervasive.
But the services returned late Monday night, though not until founder of Facebook and the other two platforms, Mark Zuckerberg, was said to have lost up to $7bn.

This happened after a whistleblower came forward and outages took Facebook Inc.’s flagship products offline, Bloomberg reports.

Announcing the return of the services late Monday night, Zuckerberg noted on Facebook:

“Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger are coming back online now. Sorry for the disruption today — I know how much you rely on our services to stay connected with the people you care about.”
