Two Lagosians trick man, steal 2 iPhones

Two Lagosians who allegedly stole two iPhones are now facing the law in the state.

The phones are said to be worth N872,000.

The suspects on Monday appeared in an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

The police charged the two – Kenneth Obiagwu, 31, who lives at 27, Popoola St., Egbeda and John Damilare , 29, lives at Ogun State n- with conspiracy and theft.

They pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Prosecution Counsel, ASP Raji Akeem, told the court that the defendants committed the offemce on Aug. 1 at 13, Olayeni St., Computer Village, Ikeja.

Akeem alleged that the defendants tricked the Mr David Idoko and Mr Ifeanyi Raymond, the complainants and stole two iPhone max and an iPhone XR worth N872,000.

The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Chief Magistrate O. I Adelaja admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N200,000 each with two sureties in likesum.

Adelaja adjourned the case until Nov. 15 for mention.
