Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly, Alhaji Yusuf Zailani, has commended the state Independent Electoral Commission for introducing the electronic voting machine in Saturday’s local government councils poll.
Zailani spoke with newsmen on Saturday shortly after casting his vote at his Rigachikun polling unit, adding that the machine would ensure credible election process.
He said the new system would allow the electorate to vote for the candidates of their choice without interference.
While appreciating the government and the electoral umpire for the smooth election process, the speaker urged residents to be patient with the little challenges they may face during the election process.
