BBNaija’s Whitemoney has given a background to his name.
His real name is Hazel Onou.
He said the one by which he is known – Whitemoney – was from God, as he had prayed to Him to give him a name that would give him controversy, with ‘Whitemoney’ being the result of the supplication.
In a chat with Queen on Wednesday, Whitemoney, who, like Liquorose, has a huge following, said: “I didn’t give myself that name. It was given to me by God.
“I prayed for it. I woke up with it in my mouth. Believe it or not, that’s the truth. If I tell people, they may not believe me. So I just say people gave me Whitemoney.
“I prayed that I needed a name that would stand out; a name that would cause controversy.”
