The forensic audit of the Niger Delta Development Commission has been concluded.

Niger Delta Minister, Godswill Akpabio, has to this end presented the report to Justice Minister, Abubakar Malami.

Malami received the document, contained in sacks, on behalf of the Federal Government.

According to Akpabio, the forensic audit covered a total of 13,777 contracts awarded from 2001 to 2019 at a final contract value of N3, 274,206,032,213.24.

The NDDC is believed to be one of the institutions often bedevilled by corruption.

While many contracts are shrouded in wrong practices, bribery and abandonment, many of those who have headed it are believed to have indulged in sharp practices.
