Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho, has spoken on his predicament in the Cotonu, Republic of Benin prison, where he is being detained.

Igboho is facing trial on immigration and extradition issues, after he fled Nigeria following the Federal Government’s hunt for him.

In an audio in which he appears to be speaking to an elder in Yorubaland, but with the BBC branding thatb suggests international platform interviewed him, he noted that he had decided to be soft on the way he was being treated in the prison.

He, however, said he, at a point decided to show his captors the colour of his might when the way they subjected him to pain and humiliation in chains became unbearable.

Speaking in Yoruba, Igboho said it was at that point thet rethought their action.

He added that even Afaa Muideen, a popular Ibadan-based Islamic cleric, had testified that his (Igboho’s) power was God-ordained.

Igboho recalled that his mother had also noted in the presence of the cleric and some top Yoruba politicians, including governors – the day he inaugurated his house in Ibadan – that she was not a witch.

This was to butress the fact that God only gave him special powers.

In the interview, Igboho gave the impression that were not doing enough, noting that they were not properly communicating with hm.

He said he there were many lawyers in Nigeria who had been defending and were still ready to defend him despite the fact that he had not paid them any money.

He added, They have continued to represent me and I am winning all cases against the Federal Government. I am not afraid to be taken to Nigerian if that is what they want. Since God is alive, I am not afraid. Kanu (IPOB’s Nnamdi Kanu) is in Nigeria. . We vare fighting the same cause. So, I am also ready to be in Nigeria.”
