Bandits have released five of the 73 pupils they abducted from Government Secondary School, Kaya, Zamfara State.
They hand invaded the school on Wednesday morning and kidnapped them.
But reports from the state where all schools have now been shut indicate the return of the five.
A former councilor of Kaya ward, Yahaya Kaya, confirmed the release of the five students to The PUNCH on Thursday.
Kaya said his daughter, Amina, was among the students released by the bandits.
