Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has condemned the continued herding of cattle from North to South.
He said the idea was no more wise in the scheme of things in the country.
This is as he cautioned President Muhammadu Buhari over his insistence of recovering old cattle routes, advising him that it is in states that are ready to return such routes that grazing should continue.
Speaking during the 53rd birthday of media executive, Richard Akinnola, in Lagos on Monday, Tambuwal asked:
“Why must someone from Sokoto be pursuing his cattle to Delta State?
“There should be reorientation of the herders to bring them back to the track of modernism and development.”
