Things are happening fast in Afghanistan after the Taliban assumed power.
The Taliban government is not only fully consolidating itself, it is only trying to rally the people into its fold.
It has, for instance, renamed Afghanistan the ‘Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’ after its fighters swept into the capital, Kabul, a bustling metropolis of six million that has turned into a male-dominated city without police or traffic controls.
Now, it is asking everyone, especially government employees to return to work.
This is after declaring amnesty, saying, “A general amnesty has been declared for all… so you should start your routine life with full confidence.”
