PSG Chairman Nasser al-Khelaifi is experiencing a huge sensation as the club has netted the biggest socer player in the world – Lionel Messi.
The club is already savouring the profit side of Messi’s 25m euros a year move, with his jersey selling out in 30 minutes.
The chairman has, however, found reason to address some of the intrigues PSG has to handle based on Messi’s mega intrusion.
One of them is the fate of Kylian Mbappe, whose position is threatened by the presence of the former Barcelona star.
Does Mbappe have to leave?
El-Khelaiffi sas no.
According to him, Mbappe has “no reason” to leave the club after Lionel Messi signed a two-year deal with the French side.
As AFP reports, Mbappe is in the final year of his contract and has been linked with a move away from PSG with Real Madrid interested in the 2018 World Cup winner.
“Kylian is a Parisian, he’s very competitive. He said he wanted a competitive team,” Al-Khelaifi said.
“Now there’s no-one more competitive than us. He has no reason to do anything else,” other than stay, he added.
