For Nollywood, it does not rain, it pours.
As far as death is concerned, Friday August 27 is indeed a peculiar one as two seasoned actors died in separate circumstances.
The first was Victor Ayeotan, who was synonymous with the soap, ‘Tinsel’.
While the sad news of his death broke in the morning, by afternoon, another sore message came from the house of death: veteran Ifeanyi Dike also passed away.
The incidents happened the same day another icon, Rachael Oniga, was being buried in Lagos.
The day could, therefore, be termed a day of three deaths as far as Nollywood is concerned.
While Olaotan had had an accident, Dike had kidney issues in 2011.
He had a transplant and survived it.
He had a great comeback to the extent that his story became a positive reference point.
He was, however, again down some two weeks ago, until he eventually gave up the ghost.
