Kollington Ayinla to young fuji singers: Don’t bury yourself in hip hop

Veteran fuji musicians, Kolawole Ayinla Kollington, has advised up-and-coming fuji singers to assert their cultural selves.

He said they should not bury the brand in hip hop, saying the usual thing was for hip hop singers to covet fuji.

In an interview on ‘Channels Television’, monitored by Phenomenal.com,ng, Kollington explained that there was still space for every genre once well handled.

Kollington has stuck to fuji since about five decades he came on stream, alogside deceased giant musician, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister.

Although he does not release albums regularly again, he did so about two years ago, positively shocking his fans with ‘Baba Be’.
