Veteran gospel singer, Timi Osikoya, has expressed support for Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho.
The outspoken musician, who often lends his music to social criticism, has released a song for Igboho, who is currently on trial in Benin Republic.
He was arrested in the neighbouring country alongside his wife, Ropo, when they were trying to board a plane to Germany.
The Federal Government had declared Igboho wanted after the Department of State Security raided his home in Ibadan, where two people were killed during what they called a gun duel.
In an interview with BBC Yoruba, Telemi said his support for Igboho was based on the principle of justice and the survival he was seeking for his people in the face of the violence that herdsmen were unleashing on his community.
According to him, if the Federal Government had taken action on the plight of the people the invaders were tormenting, the story would have been different.

On why he seemed to be associating with someone who patronises charms, Osikoya, who is synonymous with his evergreen, ‘Ile Ya’, said there was no one that God could not use for particular purposes.
Besides, he argued, many pastors also hid charms under their dresses.
