I am still in my house – Sunday Igboho

Yoruba nation promoter, Sunday Igboho, has said that he is still in his house in Ibadan.

The house came under attack on Thursday when the Department of State Security Service araided it.

Two people were shot dead while a lot of property was affected as the DSS said a gun duel ensued when Igboho refused arrest.

It added that it found guns and other ammunition, including traditional ones, in the facility.

The arms and ammunition were exhibited when some 13 people arrested during the operation were paraded.

The activist was rumoured to have been arrested on Friday night but he has come out to say that it is a lie.

According to him, he is still in the Ibadan home, thus giving the indication that a Yoruba charm called afeeri might be in force.

It is a charm that makes a person invisible.

Igboho, who has been declared wanted by the DSS, said in a Facebook message posted by his media officer, Olayomi Koiki: “Good evening my fans. I thank you all. My name is Sunday Igboho and today is July 2 , 2021. I have been hearing that they have arrested me at Guru Maharaj Ji. It is a lie. I was not at Guru Maharaj Ji. I am in my house in Ibadan and nobody arrested me.”
