Star actor, Femi Adebayo, has said that the Theatre Arts & Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria will not tolerate any unruly behaviour by practitioners.
He said this as controversy still surrounds TAMPAN’s intervention in the fallout of the detention and release of actor Baba Ijesha, standing trial for alleged defilement.
TAMPAN’s Board of Trustees had admonished Iyabo Ojo and Nkechi Blessing, whom they accused of saying things that could bring disrepute to the the association.
Both actresses have responded, with Nkechi blasting the BOT comprising the likes of Jide Kosoko and Baba Latin.
Reacting in a post on Wednesday, Adebayo said peace moves were on but insisted the big stick would be wielded where necessary.
He said, “As a member of TAMPAN, I will like to state that we set aside emotions on every side and identify the key elements which we seek to address.
“One, TAMPAN as an association never supports crime or violence in its entirety. Two, the TAMPAN constitution is built on many things, including order and mutual respect. Also, the key to us is the advancement of our talents, craft, and the continuation of our way of life.
