Facebook has described as inciting violence President Muhammadu Buhari’s warning to those he believes are causing trouble in the South-East.
The President had noted: “Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.”
As a result, Facebook has deleted the message, the way Twitter had earlier pulled it down.
FG has reacted against the Twitter’s action by banning its operations in Nigeria.
It is, however, the same day that the government banned Twitter that Facebook thrashed the same statement.
Facebook said, “We remove any content from individual or organisation that violates our policies on Facebook.”
