Pastor of Trinity House Church, Ituha Ighodalo, has analysed the 2023 presidency question as it relates to the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
According to him, he and Osinbajo are very close, noting that they worked closely during the Buhari/Osinbajo election campaign.
While appearing on ‘Your View’ on TVC on Wednesday morning, as monitored by Phenomenal.com.ng, Ighodalo spoke on the possibility of Osinbajo contesting for presidency in 2023.
Explaining that they were still in touch, he said, in the context of Osinbajo’s being President Muhammadu Buhari’s vice, and being a political associate of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, he appeared to be in-between two principals.
Tinubu, a leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, is believed to be interested in becoming the country’s First Man.
When asked whether Nigeria should opt for a conventional, old politician or a fresh blood, Ighodalo said what it needed was the best, irrespective of age or tribe.

He, however, said Osinbajo was more interested in making the best of his present position, in terms of helping the government to make impacts.
“He is in-between two principals. But he feels well where he is now. He says he can make impact through it.”
The pastor condemned zoning, saying it would not help the emergence of the best.
Ighodalo noted: “When you choose the Super Eagles, you zone? No, you choose the best. So, instead of zoning, you choose the best. This whole issue of zoning is an aberration in the first place. It was planted to cause confusion.”
