It is a day of tragedy for Nigeria as its Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Ibrahim Atthairu, has died in a plane crash.
The military aircraft crash that occurred in Kaduna was said to have killed seven other people.
The COAS’s wife was also said to be among them.
The Military has confirmed the incident although details were yet to be released.
Many Nigerians have, especially on social media, been mourning Ibrahim and the other victims.
They are sad that the country has lost him while in battle with insurgents and other violent forces, while they recall that there have been some other similar crashes in recent times.
They are also eager for investigations as some fear the crash might have been plotted by some evil hands.
