The Lagos State Government has given details of what happened between Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and afro beat singer, Seun Kuti, during the 60th birthday party of his sister, Yeni.
There have been reports that Seun walked out on the governor, with some saying he also used a foul language.
Apart from the fact that Yeni has refuted the allegation, the government has said that there was no negative issue between the duo.
According to him, the Fela Anikulapo family received the governor warmly.
Displaying photos from the encounter, Akosile noted: “So it was 60th birthday of @YeniAKuti yesterday and the people’s Governor @jidesanwoolu rounded off his day by showing up and sharing a memorable moment with one of Nigeria’s talented artists. Her brothers @Femiakuti and @RealSeunKuti received the Governor warmly.”
Meanwhile, Yeni had tweeted: “What happened was that the security detail in the course of doing their duty pushed his wife. He got upset at them understandably, not the governor. He even explained to the governor. I beg o! He has home training.”
