Morayo Afolabi-Brown, anchor of popular TVC programme, Your View, has recalled how her eagerness to return to Nigeria after studying in the US prevented her from getting American passport.
She went the memory lane on Friday morning when she and her colleagues were discussing the Nigerian dilemma on the programme.
They examined Pastor Paul Adefarasin’s counsel that Nigerians should go for Plan B, by seeking how to get out of the country which, he believes, seems destined for final chaos.
While mixed reactions greeted the assertion on the programme, Morayo said she has had cause to think that she could have heeded the advice to get the American passport.
According to her, although she believes all Nigerians should contribute their own quota to make the country good, there have been frustrations that at times make her remember the passport matter.
She added, “I remember that even when I got to the airport, they were still saying: You can still change your mind. Why don’t you stay behind for some time as you don’t have the American passport yet?”
