Niger State Governor, Bello, has raised the alarm that Boko Haram elements have taken over parts of the state.
He said they had not only taken over some territory in the state, they had also hoisted their flag.
Bello said this when speaking to newsmen on the state of security, saying it had gone beyond imagination.
He said, Ï’m confirming we have Boko Haram elements in Niger State. The’ve taken over the wives of people by force.”
He said the places the insurgents were occupying were just two hours to Abuja.
“So, Abuja itself is not safe,”” he added.
