Looking at ever vibrant Nigerian actress, one could think she would not be sensitive to religious matters. But, no, based on how excited she is about the Ramadan that is just starting.
She was quick to relay her mood and shout out to her hans, especially Moslems in an Instagram post on Monday.
Here she goes: “Ramadan Kareem 🌙 to all Muslims across the Globe 🌎
May our supplications be accepted and May it be seen as an Act of Ibadah.”
Adunni Adewale known as Adunni Ade in the movie industry is a gorgeous mother of two, born in Queens, New York, United States to a German-American mother and a Yoruba Nigerian father. She lived and was raised in both Lagos and the United States.
Adunni Ade (born 7 June 1987) is a Nollywood actress, model and movie producer. She has a dual-citizenship in Nigeria and America. As an actress, she has featured in several award-winning movies. Her debut movie in Nigeria is “You or I” in 2013, Other films in which she has participated include ‘What’s Within’ (2014), ‘2nd Honeymoon’ (2014), ‘Head Gone’ (2015), ‘So in Love’ (2015), ‘Schemers’ (2016), ‘Diary of a Lagos Girl’ (2016), ‘For The Wrong Reasons’ (2016). She has also been featured in several musical videos, including those by Sound Sultan and Ice Prince.
She received a Stella Award from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism for her efforts in promoting the Nigerian culture. Adunni Ade was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in Africa’s biggest movie awards, AMVCA in 2017 for her role in the movie “It’s Her Day” (2016). She was also awarded the ‘Best Supporting Actress Award’ at the Lagos Film Festival for the movie.
Adunni Ade was born in Queens, New York but had her elementary schooling in Lagos and Ogun states. Her Lagos-based father, who is a successful businessman, inspired her to study Accounting in which she graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2008. Adunni worked in the housing and insurance sectors in the United States before switching to the entertainment industry. She ventured into fashion modelling and featured in America’s Next Top Model.
Adunni has two sons: D’Marion and Ayden. She revealed that she had decided to remain single due to reasons best known to her. She currently has 2.3m Followers on Instagram.
Adunni Ade once shared on Instagram the photograph of her mother, Emily Faye, on her sick bed. You might be wondering why she did this, she already envisaged such questioning, she said: “I didn’t wanna post this but I wanna celebrate this Strong Woman.”
