World Poetry Day: Lasisi, Efe Paul, others join Soyinka at ProvidusBank feast

Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, will return to one of the things he knows how to do best this evening (March 21, 2021), when he will read poetry in Lagos.

He is the big masquerader all eyes will be looking for at the event tagged Voices in the Cause of Earth, organised by ProvidusBank, and holding at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island.

The programme marking the World Poetry Day is dedicated to the cause of climate change.

According to a statement by the coordinator, Jahman Anikulapo, it will feature other performing poets, spoken world artistes and other related creative artistes.
With iconic poet, essayist and critic, Odia Ofeimun, as the special guest, there will be special appearances by great thespians, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett and Bimbo Manuels.

On the bill are ace performing poet, Akeem Lasisi; founder of the Lagos Poetry Festival, Efe Paul; Evelyn Osagie, Umar Abubakar Sidi, Reginald Ofodile, Increase Nathaniel and Naevets Chinonso of Bariga Poets Collective.
