President Muhammadu Buhari has descibed journalist-turned politician, Babafemi Ojudu, as one with bottom-up approach to issues.
He said this on Friday when he on Friday congratulated the man who is his Special Adviser on Political Matters as he clocks 60 on Saturday.
Buhari’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, titled “President Buhari salutes Sen. Babafemi Ojudu at 60.”
The statement read, “President Muhammadu Buhari warmly greets Special Adviser to the President, Political Matters, Babafemi Ojudu, on his 60th birthday, March 27, 2021, congratulating the renowned journalist for his strong sense of patriotism, loyalty and sacrifices in moving the nation forward.
“The President joins members of All Progressives Congress, Nigerian Union of Journalists and Nigerian Guild of Editors in celebrating with Ojudu, whose antecedents as a journalist continue to inspire, using his prowess and skills to fight for democracy and good governance for many years.
“President Buhari believes the renowned journalist’s courage and forthrightness saw his transition into politics in 2010, and his contributions to the legislature and the executive have been most outstanding as he brings his wealth of experience and network to support the country.
“The President affirms that the senator’s bottom-up approach to issues and strong relationship with the grassroots always make a difference in his contributions to national issues.
“President Buhari prays that the almighty God will bless Ojudu with longer life and good health.”
